ScrubAir Push & Pull Systems
ScrubAir offers three types of ventilation systems based on Industrial Ventilation:
A Manual of Recommended Practice for Design, 28th Edition ACGIH®
PULL SYSTEM
An upright hood or side lateral hood ventilating a tank which is less than 30” wide.
PULL-PULL SYSTEM
A side lateral hood on each side of a single tank no more than 60” wide, each hood pulling the fumes from 30” out from the hood slot.
PUSH-PULL SYSTEM (Uses the least amount of CFM for efficient fume capture)
Required for tanks more than 30” wide for a pull system or more than 60” wide for a pull-pull system. The ScrubAir push-pull systems are successful in capturing the fumes on tanks 30” – 15’ long. A push-pull system consists of either an upright hood at the back side of a process tank or a side lateral hood along a long tank (tanks over 30” long or 30” wide) assisted by a push hood on the opposite side of the tank. This push hood, which is typically 1 1/2” – 20” Schedule 80 PVC with a balancing valve provides minimal amount of high pressure air which passes through holes drilled in the push hoods, resulting in pushing the fumes away from the operator side of the tanks towards the hood at the back of the tank, allowing the hood to efficiently capture the majority (95% or better) of the fumes from the process tanks.
